Privacy Policy
This privacy policy describes how Guépard Communications Inc. (“we”, “our” or “us”) collects, uses, communicates and retains your personal information when you visit our website or contact us. We are committed to protecting your privacy and to complying with Québec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector and other applicable laws.
Scope
This policy applies to the personal information we collect through guepard.tech and in the course of our communications with you. When we process personal information on behalf of a client as part of a mandate (e.g., a CRM implementation), our obligations are governed by our contract with that client, not by this policy.
Personal Information Collected
Information you provide. When you fill out a form, register for a webinar or our newsletter, request a consultation or apply for a job, we collect the information you choose to share with us, such as your name, email address, phone number, company name and, for job applications, your résumé.
Information collected automatically. With your consent, some information is collected through cookies and similar technologies when you browse our website, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit and the length of your visit. See the “Cookies and similar technologies” section.
Purposes of Collection
We use your personal information to:
- respond to your requests and provide information about our services;
- organize the webinars and events you register for;
- process your job application, where applicable;
- analyze the use of our website in order to improve it;
- measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns;
- send you marketing communications, only with your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link included in each email.
We use your information only for the purposes for which it was collected, unless we obtain your consent or the law permits otherwise.
Communication of information to third parties
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may communicate it only in the following cases:
- To our service providers, for example for hosting, CRM, newsletters and website analytics, who help us operate our website and deliver our services. They are bound by contractual confidentiality obligations and may use your information only to the extent necessary to provide the agreed services.
- When required or permitted by law, including to comply with a legal obligation, protect our rights, or prevent fraud or security breaches.
Communication outside Québec. Some of your information may be stored or processed outside Québec, notably by our cloud service providers. Before any such communication, we assess whether the information will receive adequate protection, in accordance with Québec law.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
On your first visit, a banner lets you accept or decline cookies by category. Non-essential cookies are disabled by default and are activated only with your consent.
Necessary cookies. These allow the site to function and remember your consent choices. They cannot be disabled.
Analytics cookies. With your consent, we use:
- HubSpot, to understand how visitors use our website and to associate your visits with the forms you submit;
- Google Analytics, to measure website traffic.
Advertising cookies. With your consent, we use the LinkedIn Insight Tag and the Meta Pixel to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns on those platforms.
Tag management. Our website uses Google Tag Manager to manage these tools. Google Tag Manager loads on every visit in order to apply your consent choices, but it does not set any cookies. Until you give your consent, no analytics or advertising cookies are set and no data is sent to Google Analytics, LinkedIn or Meta.
You can change your choices at any time using the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page, or block cookies in your browser settings.
Retention of information
We keep your personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, unless the law requires a longer period (e.g., tax or accounting obligations). Once these purposes have been fulfilled, we destroy or anonymize your information. Copies held by our cloud service providers are deleted according to their processes, generally within 90 to 180 days.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information against loss, misuse, unauthorized access, communication, alteration or destruction. Access is limited to people who need it to perform their duties. However, since no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Minors
Our website and services are not intended for persons under the age of 14, and we do not knowingly collect personal information about them.
Links to third-party websites
Our website may contain links to third-party websites. This policy does not apply to those websites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing them with any personal information.
Your rights
Subject to the exceptions provided by law, you may:
- access the personal information we hold about you and request that it be corrected;
- withdraw your consent to the use of your information;
- request that your information be deleted;
- receive the information you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used technological format, or have it transferred to a third party of your choice;
- request that the dissemination of information about you be stopped, or that any hyperlink providing access to it be de-indexed, in the cases provided for by law.
We may ask you to confirm your identity before acting on your request. We respond within 30 days.
